Our approach
Our guides are written to help you understand and compare supplements. They are general information, not medical advice.
Our checklist for every product guide
- What it is: format (capsules, powder, spray), pack size and daily serving
- What's inside: each ingredient and its amount, taken from the manufacturer's published information. If an amount isn't disclosed, we say so
- Benefits: described only with wording permitted for food supplements in Great Britain (the GB Nutrition and Health Claims Register). We don't claim that any supplement treats, cures or prevents a disease
- Side effects and cautions: known or possible side effects, interactions and who should avoid the product
- Directions: the manufacturer's recommended use, with a reminder not to exceed it
Sources we use
- Manufacturer labels and published ingredient lists
- NHS guidance (nhs.uk)
- The GB Nutrition and Health Claims Register
Reviews
Customer reviews on our site come from real visitors. We check them before they appear, to remove spam, offensive language and personal medical details. We publish positive and negative reviews alike, and we never write or pay for reviews.
